The shuttle is also available to bring guests to concerts at nearby CMAC in the summer or skiing at Bristol Mountain in the winter, all free of charge to guests. Dining options have long been a favorite local draw to The Lake House on Canandaigua, and with the reopening of the all-new hotel in 2020, now there are more options than ever. Now offering an array of delicious options with top-notch service, the two distinct eateries at the hotel are must-visits even for those staying elsewhere. If the Lake House existed on an island unto itself, the design and amenities would be a strong enough draw. There’s peace on the property in the winter—and all accounts lead us to believe there’s joy to be found during summer. Rural sprawl yields wineries and vineyards (of which we visited Heron Hill and Bully Hill).

The landscaping and outdoor seating arrangements were very impressive. The interior of the hotel was detailed with top level finishes throughout! Great decor throughout.Absolutely great potential for an extraordinary hotel. The Lake House on Canandaigua offers a signature restaurant, Rose Tavern, which features the best of the best in locally-sourced ingredients and an impeccable wine list. Picture quiet lakeside views, an upscale cottage aesthetic, incredible culinary offerings, and a spa that will leave you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated too. While The Lake House on Canandaigua has long been a fixture in the small lake town of the same name for decades, it looks and feels worlds away from the original destination that stood in its place. Locals will remember the destination first opened in the 1970s, long home to the storied Sand Bar, a favorite spot for grabbing a hot dog or hamburger after a day on the water.

I loved the scent of the body wash so much I actually bought a bottle at the spa to take home with me. I absolutely loved our bathroom at the Lake House on Canandaigua. Of course they also had Nespresso machines which meant each morning started off with a great cup of coffee. The Lake House on Canandaigua uses a filtered water system where they have still and sparkling water available on each floor and you can refill the bottles as you please. One of my favourite features of the rooms were the reusable water bottles. During our stay at the Lake House on Canandaigua we stayed in one of their beautiful Lake Queen Queen rooms.

Additional Services

We also had a beautiful large balcony overlooking the lake and outdoor pool. The guest rooms and suites at The Lake House on Canandaigua provide you with a tranquil space where you can truly feel relaxed, comfortable, and feel a true sense of peace take over. The Lake House on Canandaigua truly is a destination resort, and it makes for the perfect relaxing getaway that will leave you feeling rested and rejuvenated. If you’re looking for a weekend getaway that will leave you feeling rested and stress-free, this is the perfect place for you. Rose Tavern is a New American restaurant serving a rustic, seasonal menu inspired by the bounty and beauty of the Finger Lakes region.

NYC residents who venture out on weekends away are likely familiar with the state’s splendors in the Hudson Valley, the Catskills or the Hamptons. A five-hour drive in a northwesterly direction from the city, however, takes you away from the more commonly frequented regions and into the pastoral Finger Lakes. Rolling, vine-covered hills and pools of crystalline fresh water dot the landscape. In the midst of it all, The Lake House on Canandaigua—a destination unlike any other nearby, with bucolic beauty and world-class amenities—is a beacon of hospitality. They also have the locally loved Sand Bar, a more casual dining restaurant and bar, as well as The Library Bar which acts as a cafe during the day and cocktail bar at night. We preserved the character that made it the legend it is while updating the menu with an extensive beer and wine selection, fresh cocktails, and simple yet perfect bar staples like crisp golden fries.

Mastering API Design Patterns: Best Practices and Common Patterns

api design patterns

Hands-on examples and relevant use cases illustrate patterns for API fundamentals, advanced functionalities, and even uncommon scenarios. Consider a scenario where a client application sends a request to retrieve user information in JSON format, but the backend service expects XML-formatted requests. Consider a microservices-based e-commerce platform with separate services for product catalog, order management, and user authentication.

Customer Experience (CX) - Why It Pays To Invest In CX

A REST API is an application programming interface architecture style that conforms to specific architectural constraints, like stateless communication and cacheable data. You can test things out by adding a workout with the same name twice or not providing a required property inside your request body. You should receive the corresponding HTTP error codes along with the error message. The first step in the API design process is for all stakeholders to agree on the API's business use case. The use case may also have implications on the type of architecture you choose. Once in agreement, stakeholders should clearly outline their goals for the API by describing—in natural language—exactly how it will meet specific needs.

Providing the URI of the Newly Created Resource

To design an API, you must first have a clear understanding of the API's intended use case. You should then define the API's contract with a specification, validate your assumptions with mocks and tests, and clearly document every resource, method, parameter, and path. It's also important to collaborate with other stakeholders throughout the entire process.

Plan for Future Use Cases with API Parameters

However, the loose coupling approach offers clients better flexibility and reusability of APIs while its elements are added, replaced, or changed. Well-designed APIs exhibit loose coupling and well-composed functionalities across service boundaries to maximize scalability factors. You can also use your OpenAPI definition to create mock HTTP servers, which allows you to try out your API before you write any code. Circulate the interface amongst your team for early feedback, or validation of the requests from your online REST API client. APIs should use consistent response codes to indicate the status of a request. For example, a response code of 200 indicates that the request was successful, while a response code of 404 indicates that the requested resource was not found.

Our take on microservices

Like I said, I'd like to start with our fundamental CRUD endpoints. The third layer is the Data Access Layer where we'll be working with our Database. We'll be exporting some methods for certain database operations like creating a WOD that can be used by our Service Layer.

Other patterns like filters, pagination, search, and sorting can also be applied to resources. When clients call REST services with invalid HTTP methods, the response of that request should end up in the 405 HTTP error code; that is, 405 Method Not Allowed. In addition to the error code, the response header should provide flexibility to the client to find the supported methods that allow headers in its response. As you design your API, it will be extremely useful to maintain an OpenAPI definition as the source of truth. This format, the next generation of the older Swagger file, describes endpoints, request data, responses, error codes, and more. In addition, it can be used to automate tooling across the API lifecycle.

api design patterns api design patterns

If validation succeeds, google.rpc.Code.OK must be returned andany full request using the same request message should not returngoogle.rpc.Code.INVALID_ARGUMENT. Note that the request may still faildue to other errors such as google.rpc.Code.ALREADY_EXISTS or becauseof race conditions. If this field is set to true, the server must not execute any sideeffects and only perform implementation-specific validation consistentwith the full request.

This makes sense since comments are the children objects of the articles, assuming each article has its own comments. Otherwise, it’s confusing to the user since this structure is generally accepted to be for accessing child objects. The same principle also applies to the POST, PUT, and DELETE endpoints.

Structure

At the moment nothing should have changed inside our responses. But under the hood our controller layer talks now with our service layer. In our example the box is a collection that stores different workouts.

API design patterns are a powerful tool for creating effective, scalable, and secure APIs. Whether building RPC, REST, or GraphQL APIs, understanding and applying API design patterns can help developers create high-quality APIs that meet the needs of their users and organizations. APIs serve as contracts that define communication between applications, services, and components.

Inside our service methods we'll be handling our business logic like transforming data structures and communicating with our Database Layer. Now we're catching all requests that are going to /api/v1/workouts with our v1WorkoutRouter. Naming your resources in plural has the big advantage that it's crystal clear to other humans, that this is a collection that consists of different workouts. We could name the creation endpoint /api/v1/workout because we'd like to add one workout, right?

The resource view support in an API is implemented byadding a parameter to the method request which allows the client tospecify which view of the resource it wants to receive in the response. Microservice APIPatterns (MAP) takes a broad view on microservice API design andevolution, from the perspective of data on the outside – messagerepresentations and payloads exchanged when APIs are called. Thesemessages are structured as representation elements which differin their meaning as API endpoints and their operations have differentarchitectural responsibilities. Also, critical design choices about themessage structure and semantics strongly influence the design time andruntime qualities of an API and its underlying microservicesimplementations.

39 Useful Things to Pack For Your Cruise Including 17 You'd Never Think Of

what to pack for the cruise

I add a few black tops, including one with sequins, that I can jazz up with scarves, which weigh less and take up less room than most evening wear. Plan to re-wear bottoms at least twice during your trip. Recently, I got off a small commuter jet in Phoenix that had required all passengers to gate-check our roll-aboard bags. As I ran to my connecting gate 10 minutes later, I heard an announcement alerting passengers from my earlier flight to check they had the correct carry-on bag. Someone had mistakenly grabbed the wrong bag on the jet bridge. So if you have a bottle of your favorite shampoo you want to bring or simply have an 8-ounce bottle of sunscreen, go ahead and pack it.

Carnival Ship Rescues 27 People Adrift at Sea in the Caribbean

Personally, I prefer to bring a larger duffle and tuck a tote like this inside it for even more space. This bag is easy to compress because it’s made of a soft cotton material. But my favorite packing hack is to stuff a tote with clothes before putting it into your suitcase to really save space. Cruises are known for their all-inclusive atmosphere, and they really do a good job of providing anything you could need aboard the ship in my experience. However, that doesn’t mean you should leave your reusable water bottle behind.

Formal Wear

Be sure to have your cruise documents ready for embarkation day as you board your cruise. Cruise ship showers are notoriously cramped and often lack functional amenities. Cruise ship walls are typically magnetic, so you can use magnets to make your cabin more usable. Keep your daily newsletters, invitations and excursion tickets in order with magnetic clips affixed above the desk. While you're at it, download your cruise line, airline and pre-cruise hotel's app, as well as the Mobile Passport Control app to speed up the customs process. Also, remove all old cruise and airline tags and stickers from your luggage to avoid confusion.

Take lots of zippered plastic bags in various sizes

Never one to leave anything behind, you’d think I packed for an around-the-world voyage rather than a seven-night Caribbean cruise. After plenty of trial and error, I’ve discovered the best option is the Chatelet Air 2.0 Underseater. It’s the perfect size for those last-minute items and has two wheels to roll it or carry it.

We recommend checking to see which documentation you need by clicking here, if you’re a U.S. citizen, and here if you’re a citizen of another country. Dinner WearDressing on board is pretty much come-as-you-are—you’re on vacation after all. We recommend keeping the swimwear, shorts, flip-flops and baseball caps for other parts of your day. On a cruise, you can go from lying by the pool one minute to skydiving the next. Hair can sometimes require extra taming when coming in from a day at the beach or a windy sea day up on deck. Be prepared with all the hairstyling products, accessories, and tools you need, as well as a brush/comb, too.

Some folks prefer to bring a lanyard to keep their cruise room key card close at hand. It's easy to fill a carry-on with footwear alone when packing for a cruise. The must-have basic is a comfortable pair of travel shoes for the flight, ship and walking in port. With that in mind, we've put together a basic (but comprehensive) cruise packing list, including the clothes you'll need as well as the odds and ends you'll want with you as well. Read on for our beginner's guide to packing for a cruise. A great way to keep your cruise cabin organized and store dirty clothes is to bring along a collapsible mesh laundry hamper.

Most cruise lines have formal evening themes with strict dress codes. Ensure you carry at least 2 dress shirts for two formal wear evenings. You may be really good at packing but even the savviest cruise-goers are bound to forget some crucial items. Packing for a cruise trip is not the same as packing for other vacations.

Magnetic whiteboards allow you to leave messages for cabinmates. Men often have it even easier, getting by with a single pair of dress sneakers for an entire cruise. It might be cheaper or more convenient to pay for someone else to do your washing mid-cruise if it means you can avoid checking a bag. You don't want to be stranded in a foreign country with your only credit card deactivated because a scammer forced you to shut it down. In other words, when it comes to packing for a cruise, nobody has the expertise — and the experience — that we do.

With the reflection of the sun off the ship and the water, having sunglasses is a must. Hang it over the bathroom door and you have a perfect place to put small items like deodorant, shampoo bottles, sunscreen bottles, and anything else. This way you don’t have to take up valuable counter space in the small ship bathrooms. They also fold up flat so they don’t take up much room in your luggage.

what to pack for the cruise

One important thing — even if you pack wipes that say they are flushable, do NOT flush them. Flushing anything but toilet paper can cause issues in the ship’s waste systems. The cabins on a ship can get dark — especially if you’ve booked an interior room that doesn’t have windows. So what happens if you get up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night while trying to navigate a small, unfamiliar cabin with furniture?

It runs true to size, comes in Caribbean-inspired colors or more subdued shades, and the matching waist tie is a cute touch. Did we mention it has pockets handy for holding your ship card and lip gloss? This garment is especially great if you’re on the shorter side, but will also hit above the ankles for a cute cropped look if you’re a bit taller. The Ultimate Printable Cruise Packing ListCruise Critic's packing list makes it easy to compile a list of must-bring items and check them off as they go into your suitcase. Like hotels, cruise ships typically provide soap and shampoo in your cabin.

Chances are, you’ll enjoy every day of your cruise in perfect health, but it’s good to be prepared for small ailments that might pop up like a scratchy throat, a headache or a blister. Packing cubes are helpful for keeping small stuff, such as socks and underwear, organized on a cruise ship. Use different colored packing cubes for everyone in your travel party.

And we have a list of some suggested books on Cuba that will make your experience more meaningful. Having a deeper understanding of past and present Cuba will open your eyes and hearts to this wonderful and enigmatic island. Although many Americans want to visit Cuba and the Obama administration worked steadily to improve relations with the country, President Trump undid much of his predecessor’s work to normalize relations. President John F. Kennedy extended the embargo to travel in 1963, after the Cuban Missile Crisis.

With Norwegian Sky, NCL's first ever ship call at Havana was on May 2, 2017 (overnight). NCL Sky's Cuban cruise prices started from USD 700 per person (inclusive of unlimited drinks). Sitting between the US and Latin America, Cuba is a country drenched in culture and a fascinating cruise destination. The culture here is lively and there is a real passion for music which can be heard wherever you go, something best enjoyed whilst sipping on the unique Cuban rum on which the country prides itself. Yes, cruise ships owned by non-American companies have been traveling to Cuba for years. The only cruise line currently calling at Cuban ports is Marella Cruises, a U.K.-owned company, formerly owned by Thomson, and sailing under the TUI brand.

Havana - user reviews and comments

It's always wise to book your shore excursions in advance of your cruise to the Caribbean. Since the start of fiscal year 2021, the U.S. has processed more than 450,000 Cuban migrants at the southern border, according to Customs and Border Protection data. I pack carry-on only and found Cuba to be one of the easier countries to pack for. The climate in December was perfect, with 80s in the day and 60s-70s at night. You will also need a paper boarding pass for your Cuban health insurance, often included in your departure airfare. We didn’t on this trip because we were able to get pesos from the front desk of our casa particular.

Until 2016, according to the Cuban law, US citizens of Cuban origin (born in Cuba) were not allowed to visit the country (including on cruise ships). Regardless of their US citizenship status, Cuban-born Americans were denied booking on cruise itineraries visiting ports in Cuba. Just remember – this is merely a taste of the vibrant discovery waiting for you on a Royal Caribbean Cuba cruise vacation. Department of Homeland Security assessed that "Cuba's deteriorating economic conditions and political repression continue to increasingly drive Cubans out of their country." Fernández de Cossío said the U.S. is "aiming at destroying the Cuban economy" through its sanctions. He did not concede that economic mismanagement and repressive policies by Havana have also driven Cubans to flee the island, as the U.S. government has argued. Out of all Spanish-speaking countries I’ve visited, Cuba is the main one you need at least some language skills to visit. Famous for its 50s-style classic American cars (most of which have been adapted to run with Russian engines) and colonial architecture, Havana is the kind of place where just walking around is an experience in itself. Cuba has a distinct culture, with food, music and architecture that are celebrated around the world. It also has pristine beaches, wonderful diving and snorkeling spots, beautiful natural landscapes, a wonderful colonial architectural legacy and an extraordinary history.

At the time, communist rebels led by Fidel Castro had recently come into power and were nationalizing American oil refineries and other private businesses, without compensation. Yes, the embargo is still in place, but travel to Cuba is allowed for certain types of trips. But even on the trips that are allowed, travelers to Cuba may not use U.S. credit and debit cards during their travels (this was briefly allowed in 2016 and early 2017). However, the short window of opportunity closed on June 5, 2019, when U.S. policy changes again blocked tourist travel to Cuba.

The accommodation on the boat was excellent and the service provided by the staff made the trip even more special. Two cabins have been adapted for guests with disability and mobility needs. The lounge bars have such gorgeous interior designs that it’s a pleasure to linger and there’s even a velvet chaise longue for relaxing in the lovely Bronte’s Library.

DAYS 1 NIGHT

Located on Deck 11, there are 36 Junior Suites with a separate sitting area. Ambassador’s smaller to mid-sized classic cruise ships offer a higher space to guest ratio, making cruising more relaxed and providing guests with reassurance. The capital of Austria is one of those cities that every traveler should have visited once in the course of his life. Hardly any other city in the world has to offer such an enchanting combination of magnificent architecture, world-famous museums and theaters and beautiful green spaces. No wonder, the entire city center of Vienna is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Vienna is known worldwide for its palaces of emperors, kings and nobles, such as Schönbrunn Palace, the Belvedere and the Hofburg.

Whether you’re new to cruising, or have been an avid cruiser for a long time, there are plenty of itineraries to choose from to suit a range of tastes and budgets. Allow us to lead you through our handcrafted experiences and discover a wealth of culture hidden amongst the limestone karsts. Uncover Luon Cave, Sung Sot Cave, and Titov Island – three of the most magnificent landscapes in the bay. Delve into mythical caves, immerse yourself in turquoise water, and climb up to the island peak to marvel at the sheer majesty of the World’s Natural Wonder from above. While they’re not the most modern layouts all have been well refurbished with wood-grain vinyl wall coverings and many have new bathrooms.

Of the 10 passenger decks three are solely for cabins and Deck 4 is for tender embarkations, although the gangway can also be on Deck 5 near Reception. During our sailing it was an older crowd, but there were a few multi-generational adult families, too. It's an attractive ship for solo cruisers with special programmes and a welcome cocktail party for single travellers. During Ambience's refurbishment, out of the 798 cabins only the suites and junior suites were given a full makeover -- and they are great with fresh, contemporary décor and extra touches. Deck 12 and 14 (there's no Deck 13) serve as the pool and sun deck and during its refit Ambassador Cruise Line upgraded the wooden decks, swimming pool, two hot tubs, and the iconic funnel, which is painted in the line's distinctive purple colour.

This includes his role as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Travelport until July 2019. 23rd Annual Grown & Sexy Cruise 2025: Rooms & prices

grown and sexy cruise

This in itself greatly limits the number of kids on board their ships. Virgin Voyages offers cruises that are hip, cool and maybe even sexy. Branson himself has said that the goal is to draw in people who’d never have considered going on a cruise before.

Mostly Adult Only Cruises With Adult Amenities

We’re more “Romeo and Juliet reimagined in a circus” than themed character dinners, if you will; more immersive cabaret than 7 pm movie and jammies. But let’s be clear, being an adult means you vacation however you want, whenever you want. So if being in bed by 7 pm is your idea of the perfect evening, we encourage that. While most cruise lines still focus on offering family-friendly cruises, there are some that have pioneered adult-only cruises. Their ships are either entirely kid-free or at least their (lack of) kid-friendly facilities keep away traveling families. Temptation Cruise is an adult-only cruise featuring topless options, a clothing optional hotspot, steamy workshops and theme nights.

Additional Options Available On Booking Page

If you’re trying to keep your diet in check, the Temptation Cruise offers a full, air-conditioned fitness center. It’s a great place to get your exercise in before the day’s activities, and it will help you make healthier menu choices later. Plus, a 20-minute workout in the morning makes it easier to say no to dessert. Each cruise is different, but you will feel left out if you haven't packed your afro wig for '70s night or the crisp, white suit for the All-White Affair. Themes are taken very seriously onboard, so this is no time to pack light. Costume changes may require several suitcases, but you'll regret it if you don't dress the part.

What Is a Black Cruise?

This all to make Virgin Voyages one of the best-ever adult-only cruise lines. Below, you’ll find some of the best adult-only cruises available today. Join 7days7nights , get recommendations based on your interest. Temptation is an adults only (over 21) ship and the one-of-a-kind “Playground for Grown-ups”. Experience a passion infused, topless-optional environment for the confident & free-spirited traveler.

You’ll get to experience sexy theme nights, trendy shows and performances, a couples-only R-Rated Red Room, topless options, steamy workshops, themed pool parties and more. Plus, you’ll have your own personal cruise director to ensure that your trip is unforgettable. Drinks are included throughout the duration of your Temptation cruise, which is a huge bonus for those who love to party! For your daytime fun, the cruise will offer a Luau Party – don’t forget your Hot Hawaiian Lei or Gaudy Shirts and Pink Flamingo.

The full ship charters of Celebrity Equinox offer everything from Bid Whist card games to step competitions. Wide selection of Entertainment including Intellectually Stimulating Offers. The party atmosphere is a given, but it doesn't sacrifice opportunities for enlightenment. Many ships offer art exhibits, comedy shows, wine tastings and more. Guest lecturers and panel discussions are common, and there is always the option to hang out and relax if that's your preference.

Sexy Workshops

No more yelling children in the pool, or crying toddlers in the restaurants. This relatively new concept has emerged due to the popularity of adult only areas aboard regular cruise ships. It was only a matter of time before this was extended to entire ships.

Plan Events

Temptation Cruises is a clothing-optional cruise line that sails roundtrip from Tampa. The company offers a variety of naughty themes and activities, including an R-rated Red Room, topless pool parties, and theme nights. The cruises are geared toward adults and are perfect for couples looking to explore their sexual desires on the sea.

This adults-only cruise line’s new ship, which will sail in February 2020, promises everything from themed parties to a Fifty Shades of Grey-inspired Red Room. The raunchy voyage is billed as an authentic fantasy-sea playground for couples looking to explore their wildest dreams at sea. The cruise will depart Tampa for a five-day trip to George Town, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel before sailing back to Tampa on Tuesday morning.

The black cruises we found aren't sponsored by the cruise lines -- though river cruise line AmaWaterways has a whole offering of cruises that celebrate Black history and culture. They are cruise charters that take place on regular cruise ships but are managed and sold by independent companies. That means that they are likely to appear as one-week only options that run in between scheduled general public sailings. In some instances, they are simply organized gatherings on sailings that are already happening. People who are looking for a relaxing and quiet cruise trip can now opt for adult only cruises.

The four-night voyage departs from Miami on February 19 and visits Nassau in the Bahamas and Cozumel in Mexico. You may have children in your life, but you’ll likely want to leave them at home with relatives to fully enjoy these sailings. Music is a huge part of most of these cruises, and there are as many options as there are interests. (See below for cruises that focus on a particular genre.) The result is an on-ship atmosphere that can feel like an intimate concert and a music festival at the same time.

While originally a millennial-only cruise line, U by Uniworld changed its age restrictions in 2018 and now offers river cruises in Europe to adults of all ages. They still focus heavily on younger adults in their branding and marketing, though, which sets them apart from other river cruise lines. The Virgin Voyages fleet consists of four ships, each catering to adults 18 years and older. The maiden ship, the Scarlet Lady is a high-end, ultra-modern cruise ship that can accommodate up to 2,770 passengers and has a strong focus on the body and mind. Adults can get pampered at a world-class spa, complete with salt room, hydrotherapy pool, quartz beds, mudroom and the like. Outside, an outdoor sundeck and yoga area will be flanked by a running track.

Carnival Cruise Line Announces Holiday Activities Onboard

carnival cruise activities schedule 2023

This space has good looks, but you can’t miss the innovative tech packed into the zone! Six huge LED “windows” — and the awe-inspiring wavy LED ceiling — will help transport you to mesmerizing digital underwater worlds. These screens are the center of the local entertainment, with interactive audio-visual elements that let kids, adults and everyone enjoy and add to the under-this-world seascapes!

Entertainment and Activities

The upcoming Carnival Jubilee – welcoming guests for the first time on December 23, 2023 – will join the fleet in full festive glory, as she will have her holiday decorations onboard from December 20. Competitive activities will also have a holiday flair, including Christmas and holiday-themed trivia contests and Bingo games. Guests can also try their hand to be the best at Christmas and holiday arts and crafts. Carnival Cruise Line has a full lineup of holiday activities and events planned this year, with games, shows, parties and more. Hopefully, this will give you an idea of some of the activities and entertainment that is typical on Carnival Cruise Line. The schedules are set by the different Carnival Cruise Directors, so they will vary a lot from ship to ship.

“All in a Day’s Play”

carnival cruise activities schedule 2023

Enjoy a show on the stage at Playlist Productions™, complete with singing and dancing, plus video screens that bring these productions an extra splash of color. And if a picture paints a thousand words, imagine the millions flying off the big screen during a film under the stars at Dive-In Movies. The exact dates of holiday sailings vary throughout the Carnival fleet, with the first ships – Carnival Conquest and Carnival Radiance – being festively decorated on November 24, 2023, the day after Thanksgiving. The most competitive guests won’t want to miss the Snow Friends Scavenger Hunt with images of snowmen hidden around the ship (in public areas!) to see who can find every friend to celebrate the season with.

Spa & Fitness

A Cloud 9 Spa Suite is the ultimate in both stateroom and spa accommodations. There's room for you and your things — with a large room and balcony — and a walk-in closet. The soothing in-room whirlpool tub will help you stay relaxed after your relaxing spa treatment. And like all suites, a Cloud 9 Spa Suite features VIP check-in, which lets you easily get right up to your amazing stateroom. This is the best room you can get… without bunking up with the guy himself. A Captain’s Suite aboard Carnival Glory features tons of indoor space, and a huge balcony when you need a little more.

Carnival Cruises Holiday Events Schedule 2023

It is likely that many of the customers who have made deposits will be new-to-cruise customers. And while customers can cancel, most of the deposits the cruise line has collected will likely turn into full payment. In 2023, we captured over 3.5 million new-to-cruise guests and remain well-positioned to continue to take share from land-based alternatives. In other words, we are gaining momentum in our ability to close the unwarranted value gap to land-based alternatives. And to aid in that effort, we can further champion the fact that while many land-based alternatives have pulled back on service levels, we still deliver incredible service to our guests, thanks to our amazing crew.

ONBOARD DINING

Carnival's brands attracted nearly 13 million guests in 2019, prior to covid-19, a level it reached again in 2023. If you notice a bit of the outdoors inside, don't adjust your view. Carnival Breeze's staterooms — and many of the public spaces around the ship — feature a scintillating tropical décor and contemporary furnishings that'll transport you straight to warm Caribbean bliss. These comfy rooms with a view let you take in the scenery as you sail toward your beautiful destinations.

INSIDE THIS SHIP

With more space for stretching out indoors, plus a large balcony for kicking back outdoors, try an Ocean Suite to experience private, luxurious relaxation. Ocean Suites also include VIP check-in, walk-in closet and bathroom with whirlpool tub. Grand Central is designed to make an impression… and that’s good because it’s going to be your first one! You can count on Carnival Jubilee’s atrium to set the vacay vibes for your whole cruise.

Carnival Glory®

“Tis the season to be jolly and there is no where jollier than on our Fun ships,” said Heald. Page 5 and 6 of the Fun Times Newsletter then continues with a full schedule of “Whats Happening”, showing, the time, event name, and location for all the daily activities and events. The best way to make good use of the Carnival Fun Times experience is to make sure to read it thoroughly every day.

Options are a riskier asset compared to just trading the stock, but they have higher profit potential. Serious options traders manage this risk by educating themselves daily, scaling in and out of trades, following more than one indicator, and following the markets closely. For any cruises listed, Cruise Critic does not guarantee any specific rates or prices.

However, it is fair to say that the range of activities and events on this cruise are typical of almost every single cruise I have ever been on. This is a very good story for Carnival, and for the cruise industry more broadly. And it is important to note that cruises are usually booked well in advance. Carnival, for example, locked in a record $6.4 billion in customer deposits in the final quarter of 2023, up 31% since the fourth quarter of 2019.

On Carnival Breeze, fun-fan faves like SportSquare™, and mouth-watering dining spots like Cucina del Capitano®, are just the beginning of how this ship keeps the fun blazing. Since your huge Suite on Carnival Jubilee™ affords you VIP status, you're in the priority line when getting on and off the ship… plus Suites come with exclusive perks! Somebody at Carnival knows just what you need, and it's pretty much exactly the Serenity Adult-Only Retreat™.

carnival cruise activities schedule 2023

Since some of them get up and say exactly what’s on their mind, we also schedule family-friendly performances… so the only red faces in the audience are from laughing a little too hard. In the world of Carnival Jubilee™ zones are where fun, flavor and relaxation live… and there are six just waiting for you to explore. Guests can use the details to be sure and pack an ugly holiday sweater, hone their holiday trivia knowledge, or otherwise be prepared to join in all the festive fun. Pages 5 and 6 will then present some Fun Facts and important details of any Port Scheduled for that day, including Port Emergency Contacts. This is another good reason to keep a copy in your pocket, as the Carnival Hub App will not work away from the ship. Also featured on the Cover Page is the “Top Entertainment” of the day.

If you have never cruised with Carnival Cruise Line, you may wonder how they let you know about all the activities and entertainment on board the cruise ship. It is wonderful that Carnival is attracting customers who have never been on a cruise before. It improves the outlook for future performance since those customers can become repeat cruisers. But investors need to take this company's talking point with a grain of salt.

This pairs exceedingly well with the expansive amount of guest-pleasing amenities offered on board our newer fleet. After a thorough review of the options trading surrounding Carnival, we move to examine the company in more detail. This includes an assessment of its current market status and performance. Hop onboard the Catalina Flyer for daily ferry service from Newport Beach to Avalon, Catalina Island in just over 1 hour.
